Upcycled Christmas Paper Bags

07.13.2013 by Leah // 5 Comments

Since our city adopted a ban on the use of plastics in establishments like groceries, stores restaurants, I have been collecting the paper bags that are used as packaging for the stuff we buy. And since it'll be only 8 weeks before the "-ber" months set in, I thought of "up-cyling" them into Christmas paper bags!   I used the typeletter stamps I bought at 168 Mall in ... READ MORE

Shopping for Party Needs and More at 168 Mall

07.07.2013 by Leah // 28 Comments

I was at 168 Mall in Divisoria last Saturday morning with my cousin, Mae Anne, for some bargain shopping and I saw this shop called Trophy & Gift Shop (stall no. 2HB 05-07-09) selling pretty birthday and party needs. These colorful mini-buckets or tin pails are perfect as loot bags! Trophy & Gift Shop is the same store that sells the Princess Tiara ... READ MORE

I'm back! AJ and I just spent 5 magical days in Palawan and to be honest and we almost entertained the thought of settling there for good hehe!   That's how charmed we were with the city, its beaches, food and other attractions.  Will tell you more about that soon! Before we left for Palawan on Friday last week, I received a package containing my orders of paper products ... READ MORE

Another Stamp Story

05.14.2013 by Leah // Leave a Comment

I happily found these at the Office Warehouse bookstore at the Landmark last weekend: Wood-mounted rubber stamps with floral and vase designs! There are 15 designs / patterns in each set, which costs P349.75.  Also included are 2 stamp pads in bright colors. Aren't they cute?  This set is also available in another style - animals - but I don't think ... READ MORE

Morning Quote in Letter Stamps

05.11.2013 by Leah // 4 Comments

The quote above is from James Russell Lowell, an American poet, critic and editor.  I chose this for my first letter stamp project because my week at the office was so stressful and unpredictable.  To be able to survive, I try to look at the positive side of things.  And this quote totally nailed it - my thoughts and sentiments exactly. I used the thick typeletter stamps I ... READ MORE

Alphabet Stamps

05.04.2013 by Leah // 15 Comments

I seriously got carried away with this stamping project I did 2weeks ago that I have started my own collection of wood-mounted rubber stamps! And look what I found at 168 Mall last Wednesday:  alphabet stamps!  I got myself 3 sets in different typefaces.  Had there been more typefaces available I would have probably gotten them all, too! I found them at the same stall ... READ MORE

Crafty Gift Wrap

04.26.2013 by Leah // 4 Comments

Just sharing with you this little craft project I did last week: DIY wrapping paper that I used to wrap some birthday gifts. I used a pattern paper as the 'wrapping paper', which I got from National Bookstore (only P19.75 for 5 sheets).  I like the paper because it's smooth, durable and easy to work with stamp (the ink dries out easily). This is also my first time to ... READ MORE
