September 9 was a special day for Britain as Queen Elizabeth II officially became the country's longest serving monarch, surpassing the record of Queen Victoria, her great-great grandmother. She is now the oldest reigning monarch in the world, serving with that same dedication and discipline for the past 63 years. The Queen was only 25 when she acceded the throne, ... READ MORE
Tagged with Love!
Sorry I have been filling up this blog with mostly shopping finds! But they're all good stuff, anyway so I hope it makes everybody happy too, hehe! Let me just share with you these handmade gift tags I ordered from Tagged with Love (formerly 43lucy.com). It took a while for the gift tags to arrive from the U.S. (something must be done with our local postal service, argh!) ... READ MORE
LBC Shipping Cart: A Review
(Text by our resident guest writer - AJ De Leon. Pictures by yours truly.) I really wanted that bowling ball, for the fact that it looks so cool and different. That it’s unavailable to purchase from bowling pro shops here in our country added to its desirability factor. Plus, we were thinking that shipping a heavy item like this ball is one good way to measure how LBC would ... READ MORE
The start of my tea cup collection
Remember the Royal Albert tea cup and saucer set I gifted myself with for my birthday this year? I bought that from @paperstrawlove, an IG seller carrying the finest brands of home and kitchenware. Her catalog of vintage tea cups is to die for! Since then, I have been dreaming of my own tea cup collection. I am especially drawn to those in white, black, gold and blue ... READ MORE
Custom Painted Portrait Illustration from Lux & Trip
I'm done putting the final touch to my blog's new look, and that's my portrait illustration (for the side bar), done by Lux & Trip: Transacting with the shop owner, Ms. Kristen Rosas, was a breeze and everything was finished in less than 3 days! It helped too that my request was simple: the banner (where my name is to be written) should be in brown (same shade as ... READ MORE
The Business of Fast Fashion
It's the end-of-season sale once again and at Glorietta last weekend, I saw lots of clothing shops on sale frenzy (again!), giving discounts to as big as 70%. These shops already gave huge discounts in their last summer sale, and here they are at it again. I wonder at how these merchants earn profit. What's the mark-up then when they can slash prices off to as much as ... READ MORE
Inexpensive Gold at National Bookstore
I almost squealed with delight when I saw this set of gold paper and binder clips at National Bookstore earlier. Priced at only Php 170.00 (or less than $4.00), these are definitely inexpensive gold nuggets hihi! Lakas pa maka-Kate Spade! Sorry for the bad lighting. I took pictures of these right after I got home ('cos I can't wait till tomorrow to share my good ... READ MORE
Decorative Trays at the Landmark
While I have successfully avoided the lure of shopping at the home section of H&M, at Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Crate & Barrel, I could not stick to that "self-control" whenever I am at the Home Section of the Landmark Department Store. It doesn't help too that they are selling decorative trays that are so "in" these days, and if you love anything decoupage then ... READ MORE
