Another food post - from Cebu! My 2-nights stay there last month was not only packed with work but food as well! I had a wonderful late lunch with my boss at Gold Mango Grill & Restaurant on the 2nd day of my stay there, but on my first day I was with my brother and his family (that includes cute Liam!). He and my sis-in-law, Juvvy, introduced me to this Mexican ... READ MORE
Food Post: Gold Mango Grill & Restaurant
While in Cebu last month, I passed by this new restaurant along the main road in Lapu Lapu City that has a very modern and eye-catching structural design. I initially thought it's a house with the big front lawn and big glass windows. Then I saw the restaurant's name: Gold Mango. Hmm sounds interesting! So after fetching my boss from the airport, I invited ... READ MORE
Late Post: Mandaue Foam’s Decore Galore
Note: I'm supposed to post this the other day but forgot all about it! I always look forward to the sale events of Mandaue Foam because the discounts are really huge. It was through one of their sale events that AJ and I were able to buy our sofa, accent chairs and dining set for our apartment. Since I was in Cebu last week and my brother Dino and sis-in-law Juvvy, ... READ MORE
The Good Stuff
Just sharing with you some of my recent discoveries these past weeks... Baker's Twines from Paper Chic Studio. I have been stalking Paper Chic Studio's facebook page for a time, hoping to buy some of their baker's twines and colorful loot bags but I could not make the order form work. Then at the eve of the Chinese New Year, while waiting for the clock to strike 12, I ... READ MORE
Sunburst Fried Chicken
Sunburst Fried Chicken is Cebu's version of Max's Fried Chicken. Their fried chicken is known for being crispy on the outside and juicy inside. And that's just about it. I have read food reviews saying that there's nothing exceptional about Sunburst fried chicken, except the crispy skin, and I can agree to that. Their version of fried chicken is not at all ... Vanille Cafe & Patisserie
One of the places we frequent in Cebu is Vanille Cafe & Patisserie for their yummy cookies and chocolate bars. On our recent trip there, my sister-in law, Juvvy, introduced us to their delectable french macarons and now we're hooked! Pretty french macarons on display. Only P40.00 each. Our picks: Tablea (brown), Peppermint (green) and French Lavender (purple). ... READ MORE
Awesome Cobo!
I was introduced to Cobo's bubble burst tea during our recent trip to Cebu to celebrate Liam's 2nd birthday. It's called bubble burst tea because this tea drink has bubbles that "burst" when you bite into it, releasing a sweet-tasting juice. I was able to try the Mango-Peach Green Tea + Mango Burst and it's awesome, indeed! The mango peach green tea was very ... READ MORE
More on Cebu City…
I was doing a back-up of my picture folders the other day, and saw these Cebu pics that I haven't shared with you yet. You really could tour the city in one whole day! Here are more of the places that we went to see in Cebu City: Magellan's Cross. Sto. Nino Church or Basilica Minore del Santo Nino (just beside Magellan's Cross). This is where you will find the ...
