Brighten up your day with Cath Kidston

02.28.2014 by Leah // Leave a Comment

Brighten Up print from Cath Kidston's spring collection for 2014.  It celebrates the iconic British seaside town of Brighton, which I know mainly because I've read about its famous chain pier - the Brighton Palace Pier and Theater - from a travel guidebook on UK before.  One of the earliest amusement centers constructed in the UK (it opened in 1823), it's been said that it ... More Happy Times @ Christmas 2013

01.10.2014 by Leah // 4 Comments

I've just finished doing back-up of my photos from last year's Christmas, and thought of rounding up some photos to summarize everything else that kept me busy during the holidays.  It's not just the holiday feast (which I wrote about here) that made it merry, but the precious time I spent with my  family, good friends and lovable inaanaks!   Here are some more snippets ... The Art Nook at Ka Lui

11.08.2013 by Leah // 1 Comment

How's everyone today?  I hope you are all safe and nicely tucked at home.   Our office decided to suspend work after lunch, to allow everyone not just to get to their homes safely, but for them to be able to monitor the status of their families and relatives living in the provinces hit by island-hopping super typhoon Yolanda. And because all I've been seeing outside is a ... READ MORE

A Worry Free Afternoon at Nestlé Acti-V Go Lounge

07.09.2013 by Leah // 3 Comments

What a stressful day I had today at the office, and it's only Tuesday! July is actually the busiest month at work because: It is the month where mid-year performance reports are due for submission to the management; July also signals the start of strategic planning preparations (read: whole day meetings, ack!); and, It is also the month where we start preparing our ... James Nares x Coach

01.30.2013 by Leah // Leave a Comment

I haven't done a blog post on bags for a while.  Perhaps I've reach my saturation point so I just stopped looking. But then I saw this beautiful James Nares x Coach Tote Bag ($798.00) in the arms of my super-friend from college, Pia, during our December reunion and it was love at first sight (again!) for me. James Nares is a New York-based artist known for his unique ... READ MORE

‘The Filipino Spirit is Waterproof’

08.09.2012 by Leah // Leave a Comment

These are just some of the artworks that have been making rounds at Facebook.  I soon learned that Ayala Museum called on artists and graphic designers to submit their works inspired by this encouraging mantra that gives homage to our bayanihan (camaraderie) spirit: "The Filipino spirit is waterproof". Check out more of these inspiring artworks at ... READ MORE

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a Pop Art Collection

11.19.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

Got this news from The Telegraph.   Romero Britto, the Brazilian pop artist who combined cubism and pop art in creating pop culture icons for  the Dalai Lama, Coco Chanel, Madonna and Michael Jackson, among the many others, turned out to be a huge fan of the royals, particularly Prince William and his new bride Kate. “It was wonderful to create their portrait, I just adore ... #tbt Day trip to Oxford University in June 2019. I #tbt Day trip to Oxford University in June 2019. It rained that day so we bought a brolly in one of the shops we found, and continued our walking tour. I got the one with Oxford University logo to serve as souvenir as well 😁 Behind me is Christ Church, one of the famous Oxford colleges, that served as the "Great Hall" in many Harry Potter films. Unfortunately, it was closed to tourists that day. Still, it was an amazing day and such a memorable trip that I hope we can do again in not so far future🤞 #throwbackpost #whencanwetravelagain #england #Oxfordshire #oxforduniversity
