Tagged with Love!

08.30.2015 by Leah //

Sorry I have been filling up this blog with mostly shopping finds!  But they're all good stuff, anyway so I hope it makes everybody happy too, hehe! Let me just share with you these handmade gift tags I ordered from Tagged with Love (formerly 43lucy.com).  It took a while for the gift tags to arrive from the U.S. (something must be done with our local postal service, argh!) ... Custom Painted Portrait Illustration from Lux & Trip

08.14.2015 by Leah //

I'm done putting the final touch to my blog's new look, and that's my portrait illustration (for the side bar), done by Lux & Trip: Transacting with the shop owner, Ms. Kristen Rosas, was a breeze and everything was finished in less than 3 days! It helped too that my request was simple: the banner (where my name is to be written) should be in brown (same shade as ... READ MORE

A Mid-Week Must Have: Coral Jewelry

03.05.2014 by Leah //

A good friend of mine gifted me with these dark blue carved rose coral earrings and pendant set on my birthday last month: I love the wonderful pop of color here (even though it's in dark blue) and the simple but intricate-looking gold leaves setting. Together, they give a vintage flair to this flower jewelry. My favorite piece is the pendant.  The gold leaves are ... READ MORE

Merry Crayon Wreath

11.17.2011 by Leah //

I saw this homemade Christmas wreath at etsy and I'm inspired to make one too!    The more colors there are, the merrier! Check out the similar project done by Angela of "A Bushel and a Peck of Fun".    It comes with an instruction (thank you!) and it's fairly easy to do!   We'll just be needing embroidery hoops, crayons (lots of it!) and glue gun. The good thing ... READ MORE

Lovely Home Items from Etsy

10.13.2011 by Leah //

I find it "therapeutic" every time I window shop at Etsy.   There's just so many lovely items to look at there, and unlike in real stores, here you won't be pestered by salesladies who follow you anywhere you go hehe (does this annoy you, too?). Among my current favorites  (again, for our home) are the following: Peace x Fork You x Rock Own Silverware Coat Hooks (shop ... READ MORE

Cath Kidston-like Pouch at Etsy

08.13.2011 by Leah //

Was browsing at Etsy today when I saw this polka dots pouch being sold by EmmiLee Designs: The design is very similar to Cath Kidston's Spot Red fabric: The pouch is being sold for $9.00.   Not bad!   I'm liking oilcloth fabrics right now because they're low maintenance (no need for washing).    I wish I could find a similar pouch being locally.  Anybody here ... Our first summit event under the new normal. It wa Our first summit event under the new normal. It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
