Our Wedding Bands

03.31.2011 by Leah //

For our wedding bands, we want something like Tiffany & Co.’s classic knife-edge wedding bands:

It was kinda difficult to find a nice knife-edge wedding bands locally because the style is not that “popular’ here.  We tried looking at Goldenhills and My Diamonds but they don’t have it.

During the bridal fair at Megamall in July last year, we came across two shops with this type of ring:  Matus Jewellery and Marry Me.    We inquired in both of them and luckily, the quotations match our budget!

So it was down to choosing the style that appeals to us more.   While Marry Me’s version is not close to Tiffany’s (when you look at the ring sideways you will see that the edge is more straight than concave), the craftmanship is good and they offer additional services for free like free cleaning and one-time resizing.

On the other hand, Matus Jewellery do not have the exact simple knife-edge setting we want but we fell in love with their version!   It’s the matte version that we chose, not silk nor the polished one, as we do not want it to get scratches later on.

Dealing with Matus Jewellery (Megamall Branch) was a breeze and they did not fail to text us (on time!) for the ring fittings and actual pick-up of the ring.   We were very satisfied with their service and their products, of course!

Last February, we finally got our rings (after completing their lay-away plan).    Here are our lovely rings, from Matus Jewellery:

There’s a diamond inside the rings, as is the trademark of Matus Jewellery.  It was placed there for free!

As you can see, the center edge is not really pointed and has a polished lining in between.

Side view of our wedding bands.  We heart them so much!

Now that the rings are done, the hunt for the wedding ring pillow is on!

I used to love taking pics of food for #foodstagram but now that everything's in takeout boxes, nakakatamad mag-food styling hehe! Anyway, whether it's in fancy plate or takeout box - the food should still taste good. And this one definitely did not disappoint! The souffle pancakes were oh so good, and despite traveling in a box were really soft up to the last bite. Yumyum! #doitforthegram

It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
