Deck the Hall with Boughs of Jolly

12.03.2013 by Leah //

My favorite way of 'decking the hall':  filling up our console table with Christmas ornaments. I chose to "grow" my Christmas ornaments collection by adding new pieces each year, instead of buying everything new to match a chosen theme or color palette.   Red, green and gold have always been our Christmas colors.  A bit traditional, yes, but nothing look so festive than ... IKEA Frosta Stools

10.01.2013 by Leah //

I have a long-standing crush on this IKEA Frosta Stool. I originally wanted these for our dining chairs. But I couldn't find any IKEA furniture at the malls, so we bought a 4-seater dining set at Mandaue Foam instead.   No regrets there.  I love its simple design and dark wood finish.  However, that did not stop me from lusting after these Frosta stools! Thankfully I ... READ MORE

My 2 weeks with Liam

04.19.2013 by Leah //

My brother relayed this very happy news about Liam today: he was awarded an Academic Award during his Moving Up Day!  Congrats, dear Liam! Which reminds me, I wasn't able to tell you much about their 2-weeks visit here (they spent the Holy Week with us).  I was amazed at how fast Liam has grown.  At his age (2 years old), he can put words together very well.  He also ... Liam and his IKEA toys

07.06.2012 by Leah //

Liam, my nephew in Cebu, got these cool IKEA toys as gifts from his dad (my brother) who just came in from Singapore Thailand: Will Liam become an accountant when he grows up?   This pretty MULA Abacus ($9.99) will not only give him early concepts about colors and counting, it will help develop fine motor skills and logical thinking.  But I heard that Liam's favorite ... Window Shopping at IKEA

08.05.2011 by Leah //

Our wall clock finally broke down today.   It was giving us a time that is 2 hours late.   It was an old clock which AJ brought in from his parent's home because it was just being kept there, unused.   We were happy then because we don't have to buy one, but now we're excited to buy one hehe.  Time is gold, you know, so you can't afford to be running 2 hours late in everything ... I used to love taking pics of food for #foodstagram but now that everything's in takeout boxes, nakakatamad mag-food styling hehe! Anyway, whether it's in fancy plate or takeout box - the food should still taste good. And this one definitely did not disappoint! The souffle pancakes were oh so good, and despite traveling in a box were really soft up to the last bite. Yumyum! #doitforthegram

It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
