Big Ideas from Wilcon Depot

08.01.2014 by Leah //

Yey, it’s payday Friday!  I’ve just finished working on our budget envelopes and there’s a few cash left that I can use for shopping, hehe!

This also means that I can go back na to Wilcon Depot to finish my interrupted shopping hehe!

If you will recall, I was invited to the bloggers’ engagement 2 Saturdays ago by American Standard to learn about their newest collection; after which we toured their showroom at Wilcon Depot in Alabang Zapote Road.

Click here to read about American Standard’s Luxe & Style Collection.

I wasn’t able to fill you in yet on our tour around Wilcon Depot, which is really big pwede kang mawala sa loob hehe.

To begin with, Wilcon Depot is not only for those planning to build or renovate their homes.  It’s also a good place to shop for anything you will need at home.  Yes, it’s a big one-stop shop with a spectrum of products available from tiles to electrical supplies to gardening items to kitchen items to living room showcases and so much more.

I had a grand time perusing Wilcon’s myriad selection – which is a mix of top local and imported brands – and then taking their pictures of course for future reference hehe!

I spent most of my time there looking around the tiles section.  Sobrang aliw ako sa selection nila of decorative but durable tiles.  These tiles are not exclusively for bathrooms; they can work in any room too – just like accent wallpapers!  So versatile!

Look, there’s also Batman!  AJ will love this!

Check out the “big ideas” you can have for these Batman tiles…

Hi Lola Bunny!

Shopping for brick tiles can also be fun and engaging, especially if there are actual pictures showing how they can be incorporated into your home.

Next stop:  the granite tiles section.  It’s our dream to have a granite kitchen countertop.  AJ can knead a dough better this way, while I don’t have to worry about placing a hot baking pan or saucepan directly into its surface.  Why?  Granite tiles are heat-resistant and, if taken care properly, can stay chip-resistant for a long time.

I’d love to have some of these antique mirrors for our future house project:

Shabby chic ang peg ng vases na ito...

Covering one side of a wall with a wall paper can enhance the look of any room.

That, or painting it with a color that is in contrast to the over-all shade of your room.

Wood boards are also readily available at Wilcon Depot.

They have this really big space for living room showcases, nadaig pa ang home section ng department stores.

The bottom chest in the picture above reminded me of our Union Jack Storage Chest.  Cool!

Wilcon Depot also has a Design Hub where able staff help customers visualize their design ideas by rendering them in 3D.  It’s like the “lookbook” in fashion but instead of putting together clothes, shoes and bags to create your own look, you put together home finishing materials to create a home, or renovate a room or part of your house, according to your color, space and design preferences.

Equally impressive are their kitchenware selection.

I almost bought this Aladdin insulated mason tumbler but it’s not cheap (costs more than P500++) and I have lots of tumblers at home (and work) already hehe.

Still, I didn’t leave the store home empty-handed.  I found this glittery vase on sale at 40% and grabbed it hehe!

A big thanks to the wonderful staff at Wilcon Depot (Alabang Zapote Road Branch) for touring us around!  I’ll see you again soon!

I would love to see the ready made wood products. Yung parang may window? I need it for an upcoming project. Any idea about the prices?

Wilcon Depot has been my happy place since we started our house construction. It’s been a while since we went there (we go to Alabang branch too!) and I just might ask hubby that we drop by soon since I read this. Visit often for more finds. 🙂
