Pearl Earrings for Sale

07.21.2011 by Leah // 7 Comments

I recently purchased these pink-champagne south sea pearls from my sis-in-law:

They’re from Hongkong.   I was instantly mesmerized by their perfect luster and although they’re not perfectly round, they have the same size (11mm) and would make a good stud pearl earrings.

Now you all know about my south sea pearls collection.   This is a welcome addition indeed, as I still do not have pink/champagne pearls in my box.

Last week I finally had it set into stud earrings, in 14k yellow gold:

Lovely, aren’t they?

Now a business idea suddenly hit me:   what if I sell these south sea pearl earrings?  It’s like starting a jewelry business!    I love jewelry and south sea pearls is one of the best jewelry investments you should make, aside from diamond stud earrings.

So I posted these earrings over at eBay to see if I can get a buyer hehe.   It is priced fairly cheap considering its luster, silkiness, size, shape (off-round) and color (very light pink / champagne color).     Although we are used to seeing Philippine South Sea Pearls, the Hong Kong variety are equally good.  And I’ve not seen a good set of pearls this cheap for a long time so hopefully when I’m able to sell this one I can get more from the Hong Kong supplier.   I wanna seize the opportunity.  The plus side is, I know a jeweler who doesn’t charge an arm and leg for jewelry settings.  And she’s very reliable.

Check it out, and PM me if you are interested with the pearls.   Wish me success  too as I start on this small business   =)

UPDATE:   I have sold these pearl earrings.    Yey!

Hello. i’ve been reading your blogs. I recently started liking SSP. I used to think they’re more for mature women :). I have been collecting different colors with the simplest settings.

May i know your jeweller who does jewelry settings? I am also going to check out Bedori’s stall at Greenhills. I was twice cheated there by these muslims sellers. First seller sold me freshwater pearls princess necklace and bracelet for 4000 and an opera legnth necklace for for 5000. The pirces i got was already half the their original price. A month ago i bought sets of golden and peacock from PINKY and gave me thin, light and cheaply made 14k settings. Took it to an appraiser and those SSP i bought turned to be dyed and low quality.

    Thanks 🙂

        Hi Ms. Leah,

May I also know where you have your SSPs set? I really LOOOVE your pearl collection, especially the golden SSP earrings with removable jacket! They are gorgeous! I’m also planning to buy loose SSPs but I don’t know where to have them set. I would really appreciate if you could share your jeweller’s contact with me. TIA!

I'm glad I invested in this Freshair 3 air and sur I'm glad I invested in this Freshair 3 air and surface purifier last year. It's the only air purifier in the market with proven technology to kill 99.96% of Airborne and 99.98% of Surface SARS-CoV-2 👍 I had it placed in the office so I don't need to bring anymore my portable UV sterilizer and portable plasma ion purifier. With Manila on extended GCQ and the vaccine roll-out still being finalized, we cannot afford to be complacent. Mas lalo pa dapat mag-ingat with various new strains coming out, too 😬 Safety should be our top priority 👍 @freshairpurifiers

Same as last year, we will celebrate it at home dahil may #covid_19 pa rin. You will remember that last year, yours is the first birthday we celebrated in quarantine. I just came from Baguio (for work) and someone from our group tested positive. Hindi na tayo nakapagpa-picture dahil puro nasa #covid_19 ang attention natin. We miss you, daddy! I hope you like your flowers today, mas marami na green leaves kaysa flowers. Just the way you like it. 💚💚 #theoriginalplantito

It's so spacious and so safe in there. I wore double masks (KN95 and fabric mask from @quins.ph) and my favorite scrub cap from @unisol.ph_ with buttons on both sides for the mask ear loops. It kept my ears from hurting and kept my hair intact too. Never mind if I look more like a nurse than a patient here 😁 Safety first over porma 😜
