Baked Spaghetti

05.06.2012 by Leah //

AJ and I love to cook pasta.   I do the sauce and he cooks the pasta.  That's always been our assignments, because I don't know how to cook a perfect al dente pasta hehe.  I am afraid of high heat in the gas stove and the first time I cooked pasta noodles, it was a disaster haha!   Half of the noodles did not cook properly and stuck together. But now with my Saladmaster ... READ MORE

Baked Barbeque Chicken

04.29.2012 by Leah //

I used our Saladmaster Electric Skillet for this recipe and for the first time, AJ and I were able to make a barbeque dish where the meat was cooked well both inside and outside.   We actually bought a Neoflam grill pan last year specifically for grilled and barbeque dishes.    But we almost always end up with a half-done grilled dish because the inside part of the meat was ... Arroz Valenciana

04.15.2012 by Leah //

This is a very flavorful (not to mention colorful) dish that can be eaten alone (read: no need for ulam or viand), or paired with other meat dishes.    I saw Kuya Rene do this when they cooked for us, and it is one of the dishes I immediately wanted to try when I got my Saladmaster cookware. I used my oil-core electric skillet for this and below is my "output" (*beams with ... READ MORE

Thank you, Saladmaster!

03.31.2012 by Leah //

Upon the invitation of Ate Jane, AJ attended a meeting at their office last Tuesday to meet and interact with other new Saladmaster users, and also to meet their boss (Senior Dealer).    I wish I could have gone with him, but I have work in the morning. The highlight of the meeting was the spinning of the roleta.   AJ, of course, aimed for the most expensive Saladmaster item ... READ MORE

Five Spice Pork Noodles

03.29.2012 by Leah //

Got this recipe from the July 2011 issue of Yummy Magazine.   This particular issue was such a gem - I'm able to try 3 recipes already, all from this same magazine!     This one is my 4th, and I used my Saladmaster gourmet pan to make this (although the Wok Pan would be perfect for this). It's my first time to prepare an egg noodle dish and am glad this one's fairly easy to ... READ MORE

Steamed Fish Dory

03.26.2012 by Leah //

We couldn't wait to use our Saladmaster cookware so AJ and I stopped at the grocery yesterday to buy the ingredients for our dinner that night.    We liked the steamed fish dory that we sampled at the Saladmaster dinner we booked for my godmother/aunt the night before, so we decided to make that. This no-fuss recipe is so easy to do and I calculated the cooking time to be ... READ MORE

My Saladmaster Cookware are here!

03.25.2012 by Leah //

It was not very difficult for me and AJ to decide on getting a Saladmaster cookware after seeing the "very delicious" presentation made by Kuya Rene and Ate Jane some two weeks ago (in case you missed it, here are the links: part 1 and part 2).    But we do not yet see the need to purchase a set, and would rather settle on the 2 pieces that we immediately need:  a saucepan and ... Experiencing the Saladmaster Difference (Part 2)

03.10.2012 by Leah //

I received lots of good feedbacks about Saladmaster from my previous post which made me really happy because it confirmed my impression on the brand - effective, durable and with highly satisfied customers. Now, are you familiar with the baking soda test?  You can try it at home.    First taste the baking soda (you will find it salty).   Then put a teaspoon of it in your ... READ MORE

We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes an We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes and french toast of @grampancakesph without going out - thanks to @grabfoodph ! I used to love taking pics of food for #foodstagram but now that everything's in takeout boxes, nakakatamad mag-food styling hehe! Anyway, whether it's in fancy plate or takeout box - the food should still taste good. And this one definitely did not disappoint! The souffle pancakes were oh so good, and despite traveling in a box were really soft up to the last bite. Yumyum! #doitforthegram

Our first summit event under the new normal. It wa Our first summit event under the new normal. It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
