Western-Style Invitations

09.05.2011 by Leah //

I am done printing Liam's birthday invitations, all 90 of them.   Yey!   But for weeks I've been thinking on how to prettify the catalogue envelopes I bought for these invites.   I chose catalogue envelopes because I want them to be in brown, just right for Liam's cowboy-themed birthday celebration. Last weekend, as I was cleaning our "work room" - I saw my craft puncher in ... READ MORE

Liam’s Birthday Invitation

08.23.2011 by Leah //

My nephew is turning one year old this coming October!  He was my ring bearer (am glad our church allowed a 7-month old baby boy to be a bearer, whew!) and as the first apo (grandchild) in our side, he's a run-away favorite! For his birthday, his parents decided to have a "Cowboy" theme.   I was tasked to do his invitation, and I immediately drew inspiration from this custom ... READ MORE

50 Ways of Saying “I Love You”

06.13.2011 by Leah //

AJ and I attended the 50th or golden wedding anniversary celebration of my Tita Baby and Tito Eldie last Saturday in Paranaque. It was a very fun event and one that is filled with live music (a mix of Beatles (mostly!), Elvis and Bee Gees) and games!   I especially enjoyed their version of "Pinoy Henyo" - a word game popularized on "Eat ... Valuing Health and Insurance

04.23.2011 by Leah //

After what happened to my cousin last Tuesday, I became all the more resolved that I will not waver in paying my insurance premiums and ensure that my office health insurance card is always in my wallet. You see, my cousin did not have a health card or a personal accident insurance at the time of her accident.  She just started work at her office and you know how it is in ... READ MORE

A Day of Pain and Hope

04.19.2011 by Leah //

I'm writing today's post for my cousin, Mae, who is at the hospital right now undergoing a 4-hour operation to repair her right leg.  You see, she had an accident early morning today on her way to work.  Her left leg's already on the first step of a PUV when another rushing PUV smashed directly at her.  She was stuck in the middle.  When the PUV  pulled ... We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes an We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes and french toast of @grampancakesph without going out - thanks to @grabfoodph ! I used to love taking pics of food for #foodstagram but now that everything's in takeout boxes, nakakatamad mag-food styling hehe! Anyway, whether it's in fancy plate or takeout box - the food should still taste good. And this one definitely did not disappoint! The souffle pancakes were oh so good, and despite traveling in a box were really soft up to the last bite. Yumyum! #doitforthegram

Our first summit event under the new normal. It wa Our first summit event under the new normal. It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
