Exploring Bohol

04.16.2012 by Leah //

We spent only 1 full day and 1 full night in Bohol (not including the travel time to and from Cebu), but still we were able see most of what the island province has to offer.   The secret to doing that is to manage your time properly and to plan your itineraries well.   The latter is very important because most tourist destinations in Bohol are located at different towns so try ... Bohol Bee Farm

04.13.2012 by Leah //

I've read a lot of good feedback about the organic food at Bohol Bee Farm, and nothing much about the "bee farm" itself hehe!    But that's okay, I don't think I'll enjoy the farm tour too because by the time we got there it's past lunch and we're hungry so all we could think of was food! Without much ado, let me show you what we had and my usual satisfaction rating (with 5 ... READ MORE

Goodnight Cebu, Hello Bohol

04.12.2012 by Leah //

AJ and I chose to have night flight out from Manila to Cebu last Thursday because of the long lenten break and we wanted to avoid the traffic and the long line at the airport. There was no traffic or line at the airport at all.  NAIA Terminal 2 looked almost deserted with very few people waiting for their flights. We traveled light. I always bring a book with ... 10 Things I miss about Cebu/Bohol

04.10.2012 by Leah //

Happy Easter, everyone!   I hope you all had a nice and meaningful lenten break last week. AJ and I got back from Cebu yesterday and it's only now that we are feeling the exhaustion from all the traveling that we did while in Cebu and Bohol.    So I took a day off from work today to rest and recharge for longer office hours that I will be having starting this week - what ... Off to the Pearl of the South

04.05.2012 by Leah //

AJ and I will fly off to Cebu later to spend the Holy Week there.   I've finished packing this morning.   I love, love my colorful Cath Kidston bags!   The bag stroller was bought at the Landmark for just P350.00.    Why didn't I thought of this before?  Now we don't have to worry about carrying the travel bag (I realized how physically taxing it was when I brought it with me ... Bag of Beans

03.17.2012 by Leah //

We celebrated my dad's 65th birthday last Monday at Tagaytay City.   We left Manila at around 9:00 a.m. and was there just before lunch time.    After taking a short tour of People's Park, we headed off to Bag of Beans for a late lunch (side story:   we were supposed to eat at ViewPoint but could not find it so we ended up here). This is not the first time I've been to Bag ... READ MORE

Villa San Miguel

02.16.2012 by Leah //

Last Saturday AJ and I attended a family reunion from my dad's maternal side - the San Miguels - which was held at a private swimming pool owned by one of my dad's cousins (I think 2nd generation cousins already).   It's called Villa San Miguel and is located at Calamba in Laguna. The last time I've been there was ages ago, back when I was a kid and don't know how to swim ... READ MORE

An Overnight Stay at Naga and Legazpi

02.01.2012 by Leah //

I was in the Bicol Region last Friday for work.  We stayed overnight at Naga then traveled to Legazpi early on Saturday to visit our branch office and then see the majestic Mayon Volcano. This trip gave me an opportunity to use this Cath Kidston travel bag that I got as a gift last Christmas.   It's very roomy and easy to carry.  But it would've been better if there were ... We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes an We were able to try the famous souffle pancakes and french toast of @grampancakesph without going out - thanks to @grabfoodph ! I used to love taking pics of food for #foodstagram but now that everything's in takeout boxes, nakakatamad mag-food styling hehe! Anyway, whether it's in fancy plate or takeout box - the food should still taste good. And this one definitely did not disappoint! The souffle pancakes were oh so good, and despite traveling in a box were really soft up to the last bite. Yumyum! #doitforthegram

Our first summit event under the new normal. It wa Our first summit event under the new normal. It was so nice to finally see everyone face to face and have uninterrupted discussions that lasted past 8pm! I get to enjoy free coffee the whole day too. ☕️☕️☕️ Two things I find cute though: everyone now carries a disinfectant spray or alcohol (in every shape and brand), and wears a lanyard for their face mask 😄 #NCRFSDSummit
