I love the way our malls and establishments are lit up during Christmas season. And it’s not only the Christmas trees that are illuminated but the garlands, wreathes and flat sculptures as well. In that way, even the simplest decors become astonishing with the help of Christmas lights.
Take for example the Christmas decors at Rockwell Powerplant Mall in Makati. They always have red Christmas balls, poinsettias and garlands as decors every year but once lit up they always look fresh and new.
This year, I noticed how the tropical trees inside the mall are illuminated with Christmas lights, thus turning them into “Tropical Christmas trees”:
I did a “lomo” version of this picture and it was simply breathtaking! The color of Christmas is indeed red!
Another establishment that is brightly lit up this season is Bonifacio Global City (BGC) – which also recycled their decors from last year:
Giving it a “lomo” effect. Don’t the colors look so alive? I love it!
I hope to see more of these Christmas light sculptures in the future. Didn’t realize how beautiful they look in pictures until now. Perhaps AJ and I should visit Policarpio Street in Mandaluyong soon. That street has become a Christmas attraction in itself, as rows of houses are turned into “wonderlands” with the way they are decorated and illuminated for the holiday season. Can’t wait to visit it!
