I first heard about Wellmanson’s from an officemate who loves doing beads craft. One day, she took me there and I was totally blown away with the many beaded items and jewelry materials / supplies available for sale. It’s virtually a mecca for all those who love accessories.
Fast forward to 2011, I became a member of the Weddings at Work community and almost all brides-to-be who wants to do DIY stuff for their wedding were advised to check out the place. I was one of those who did lots of DIYs for my own wedding but I did not visit Wellmanson’s – maybe because I really am not talented when it comes to beadworks.
But I’ve been meaning to go back there because I want to check out their ready-made accessories again. And since I’ve been looking for the perfect Christmas gift to give to my nieces and more lady friends, I asked AJ if we can go to Quiapo one weekend.
We finally did so last Sunday, and armed with only P1,000, I challenged myself to find as many gift as I can for 4 tweenies and 3 ladies who, I know, are very much into bling-blings.
Now, let’s check out my hoard! (sorry, but I’m keeping the prices secret, hehe!)
3 sets of bangles, for my nieces who are in their teens:
They reminded me of the bangles I saw at Forever 21, and I like it that they are stackable and can be combined with the others. Here are more details of the bangles I bought:
I also saw bangles for the little princesses who already have a sense of fashion. Colorful bangles with furry balls are what I got for them, including one with enamel coating:
For my fashionista friends, I got these cocktail rings that would surely make them stand out:
This white elephant enamel bangle also caught my attention so I bought it for myself hehe!
Check out the details. Love, love, love them!
Great finds, aren’t they? I also picked some silk pouches for the accessories that will be given away as gifts.
I went to the cashier to pay and was happily surprised to find that all my items cost me only P720! That left me with P280 – enough to buy packs of these special mongo hopia from Master Hopia!
My advice for those who plans to bring a car to Quiapo – park yours at SM Manila, walk a little to the direction of the Manila City Hall then take a jeep going to Quiapo. It’s much safer for the car, and cheaper for you that way.
Wellmanson’s is located at Villalobos Street, Quiapo (the road leading to Plaza Miranda where the Quiapo Church is located). For the months of November-December, they are open Mondays to Sundays: 9:30am – 6:00 pm (Mon-Sat) and 9:30am to 5:00 pm (Sunday).

Great shop but beware about their computations. I was told by the assessor that they will be checking at the cashier the assessed items. Yeah right! they checked the number but not the punched price. I ended up paying 800 for 10 items which should cost 8 ea. The assessor punched in 80 instead of 8 :(. I only found out after I arrived in Ilocos.

Awww what a sad experience you had there, Julie! Thanks for sharing this, will be very careful the next time I go there.

Yay, thanks for this! My friend said they also sell Swarovski crystals, so I’m going to Wellmansons tomorrow! How much Swarovski do you think I can buy with just 1,000? And, do you think they would celebrate Chinese New Year? Tomorrow’s my only vacant time, but the shop might be closed. 🙁 Thanks! 🙂
Leah says
Hi Scarlet! I think di naman sila magco-close tomorrow, lalo pa’t dun mas marami shoppers kse wala pasok =)
