Finding our Ceramic Stool at Uniwide

10.02.2011 by Leah //

My post about finding some ceramic garden stools at Tagaytay brought sis Ann  of W@W to my blog, and she gladly shared to me the info that she saw the same design being sold at Uniwide Warehouse in Sucat, Paranaque.

AJ and I decided to check the branch at Coastal Mall (which is nearer our place) and viola, the ceramic stools are indeed there, with a price tag of only P690!  That’s about 85% cheaper than the ones in Tagaytay, whoa!

We happily bought the white stool, which is already the last stock available.

Finally, it’s home – after months of sorrowful longing hehe.

We saw lots of really cheap but good ceramic items at Uniwide.  I regret not having discovered this earlier so we wouldn’t have to go all the way to Dapitan for home decor items.

These large and small heart-shaped bowls costs P49.00 and P29.00, respectively.  Really cute!

There’s a buy one-take one promo going for ceramic balls so I got these, all for just P116.00!

I bought this very pretty table ornament in striking red color  (299.00) for my Mommy / Ninang Caro, perfect for their new home:

There were lots of pretty ceramic items at Uniwide, especially holiday ceramic platters and cookie jars that are perfect for Christmas.   Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the place because I kept holding my bag for fear of breaking something.  Fragile items are almost everywhere.

For those planning to shop at Uniwide, I suggest you wear your most comfortable clothes and not to bring a big bag.   The place is not air-conditioned, and because it is a warehouse, you may find that most ceramic and home decor items there are not dusted clean.   Be prepared to get your hands dirty.

Also, check carefully the items you wish to get because they may be lovely to look at, but a closer look would show you little cracks here and there.    I am not sure about their return policy, if there is one.

Lastly, the Uniwide Warehouse branch at Coastal Mall may look like an abandoned building outside but it’s not.   The building is already showing signs of deterioration though, so we found it difficult to stay there long also.  Maybe next time we’ll check the Uniwide branch at Sucat.

In the meantime, we are savoring our biggest accomplishment this week – finding our dream ceramic stool and finally taking it home =)

Hi Janix, I remember seeing ceramic pieces at Uniwide but mostly cups and plates, not pots/vases. I saw decorative vases there, though but I don’t think they’re for plants (may mga holes kse na parang decor nila hehe). I think you’ll find more choices at Dapitan Arcade =)

[…] A peppermint and gingerbread table setting.   Very festive-looking!  They worked amazingly well with a red floral table cloth that is going to be similar to ours.  Those peppermint dishes are just so lovely! I hope I could score some at Uniwide!   […]
