Wedding Nice to Have’s

03.27.2011 by Leah //

I have my own list of nice-to-have’s for our wedding.   But these are not the expensive things you can imagine (like a Bellaroca Honeymoon, a popular P/V supplier, Tiffany wedding rings, etc.).

The things I want are actually simple things, which, up to this day, I still can’t decide if we will incorporate in the wedding or not.   Some are not locally made while the others will add a dent to our very strict budget.

Here are few of them and I would sure appreciate comments from brides out there!

1.  Estrel’s 3-layer wedding cake

This is sure nice but opted to get the Hizon’s wedding cake as part of our package.   I am secretly hoping somebody would sponsor this cake for us (I won’t mind having 2 wedding cakes!) but it looks like we have to make do with Hizon’s hehe.

2.  Escort Cards for the Guests

I saw this at the Martha Stewart website and have actually tried to do a mock version of this.   I think the guests would like this but with about 160 guests, how sure are we that everyone will be patient enough to look for their seat number?

3.  Ceramic Ring Dish

From Etsy.  This is available only in the US and has to be shipped here in Manila pa.  We will just use the Matus jewellery ring box which came free with the rings as the box is in chocolate brown shade.   But I still dream about this, waaah!

4.  Table munchies

I think this is from the bridalbook website.   The chips as table munchies are just cute and playful to look at!   I think this one we can execute, we just have to look for munchies wrapped in light-green packages.

5.  Ring Pillow in printed floral cloth

This ring pillow is whimsical and eye-candy.    It can be ordered also at Etsy.   I am still looking for somebody who can make this for me.  Any ideas?

6.  MInt candies as give-aways

Ooh, this is really a nice-to-have!   Mint candies as give-aways.  The packaging is also unique and the personalized ribbon is just adorable.   For our wedding, we decided to do away with the give-aways because I really can’t decide on one hehe.  AJ said it’s stressing me (my gad, just for the give-aways huh!) but it’s true, it has been giving me sleepless nights before.   However, a couple of my close friends said that give-aways is really not a must-have, in fact, they reminded me that they did not have any during their own weddings!     That sealed our decision to let go of this one.

That’s all for now.   Have a great Sunday, everyone!

The ceramic ring dish is also my nice to have. Is it the same one as Paloma’s Nest? I realized lang it’s not practical because our ring bearer is still quite young and might throw the dish around. 🙂

Yes it is Paloma’s Nest! You and my friend just said the same thing hehe! It’s fragile and the ring bearer might not just throw it around but drop it (heaven forbid!). I’m still gunning for the cute ring pillow I saw at etsy. If di kaya, will probably just use the Matus Jewellery box, cos it’s in chocolate brown shade (exactly our motif).
