My favorite drink right now is the Roasted Milk Tea from ChaTime. It has this slightly sweet and roasted taste that really appeals to me. I get my Chatime fix at the Landmark, where we shop for our weekly groceries. They have a little store very near the entrance to the grocery, which is always teeming with people. At home, I make my own milk tea by putting ... READ MORE
Getting rid of ants…
When we few things we have to deal with when we moved into our apartment last year were the cockroaches and ants - black and red. I tried to get rid of them using chalk roach and ant killers and citronella oil in burners which I light every week and place in our kitchen area. Now, we seldom have cockroaches at home (very, very seldom in fact) and I think it really helps ... READ MORE
Thank you, Saladmaster!
Upon the invitation of Ate Jane, AJ attended a meeting at their office last Tuesday to meet and interact with other new Saladmaster users, and also to meet their boss (Senior Dealer). I wish I could have gone with him, but I have work in the morning. The highlight of the meeting was the spinning of the roleta. AJ, of course, aimed for the most expensive Saladmaster item ... Finally, my own blog identity
There is something about blog logos that really interest me. In fact, that's the first thing you will see every time you "open up" a blog. It's like the cover sleeve of a book. If a cover sleeve has a really cool illustration or typography, it will attract a reader's attention. Never mind if the book's title is nondescript, but a cool illustration or typography will ... Five Spice Pork Noodles
Got this recipe from the July 2011 issue of Yummy Magazine. This particular issue was such a gem - I'm able to try 3 recipes already, all from this same magazine! This one is my 4th, and I used my Saladmaster gourmet pan to make this (although the Wok Pan would be perfect for this). It's my first time to prepare an egg noodle dish and am glad this one's fairly easy to ... READ MORE
The Descendants
I have this affinity for film adaptions. It doesn't necessarily have to be based on the books I have read, but if a book or novel is made into a film, that for me is a sign that the story must be really good. After watching "The Help" without reading the book and liking it so much, I've been looking forward to watching another book-based movie. We found "The Descendants" ... READ MORE
Steamed Fish Dory
We couldn't wait to use our Saladmaster cookware so AJ and I stopped at the grocery yesterday to buy the ingredients for our dinner that night. We liked the steamed fish dory that we sampled at the Saladmaster dinner we booked for my godmother/aunt the night before, so we decided to make that. This no-fuss recipe is so easy to do and I calculated the cooking time to be ... READ MORE
My Saladmaster Cookware are here!
It was not very difficult for me and AJ to decide on getting a Saladmaster cookware after seeing the "very delicious" presentation made by Kuya Rene and Ate Jane some two weeks ago (in case you missed it, here are the links: part 1 and part 2). But we do not yet see the need to purchase a set, and would rather settle on the 2 pieces that we immediately need: a saucepan and ... READ MORE
