Figaro has a new new cake product and I hope this one will stay permanently in their menu. It’s the perfect cake to pair with their famous brewed coffee.
It’s called Orange Coffee Cake. I was so excited to taste it because it’s my first time to try a combination of orange and coffee flavors in a cake. But I was already on my 3rd bite with I asked AJ, “How come I still can’t taste the coffee here?”. AJ burst out laughing(!). Then he explained that it’s called a coffee cake because it’s intended to be eaten along with a hot coffee. So essentially it’s an orange cake – and a very good one at that.
I love that it has no frosting or icing. It has the same moist texture as a pound cake, while the delicious combination of orange and cinnamon (and little walnuts in between) made it a truly pleasing dessert to go with a warm coffee.
Ahahahaha!!! funny!! oo nga naman, the name implies na it’s a mix flavor.. hahaha.. ang talino ni Tito AJ! 🙂
