Our dinner at Johnny Rockets in Alabang Town Center three (3) Sundays ago was actually unplanned, and we were drawn into their 50’s-inspired diner (among the many other restos inside Alabang Town Center) because of this:
Dancing servers, yea! Soon, AJ and I were dancing to their music while waiting for our burgers hehe.
It was quite fun! We were served free fries while waiting for our burgers.
They have working jukeboxes too.
A red and white counter – very 50’s!
I got The Original (P285.00) which has fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, chopped onions, relish, pickle, mustard and mayonnaise in it. The burger tasted of beef (yummy), not greasy at all (a plus point for me) but has a crumbly texture, making it a bit messy to eat.
AJ chose Rocket Single (P345.00) which was loaded with cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, onion slice and Johnny Rocket’s own special sauce. He loved it but like my burger, the texture of the beef patty was crumbly.
Our burger servings came with a side dish (I chose fries while AJ chose onion rings). We had lemonade for drinks.
The burgers were not of exceptional taste – but very filling, nonetheless. Like any American burger, it can be a bit bland to some (like me) that’s why I needed to sprinkle some salt and pepper in it.
Our bill came at a close to P1,000.00, which is pricey for burger meals, but we enjoyed our stay there nonetheless, and the dancing and very attentive servers more than compensated for that dear price tag.
Johnny Rockets has branches at Alabang Town Center, Eastwood Mall, Robinsons Galleria, Tomas Morato and Burgos Circle.
[…] You can have this huge burger for only P120.00. That’s 2x-3x cheaper than the burgers at Johnny Rockets, and I liked this way better, […]
