Happy Halloween!
It’s also my mom’s birthday (Happy Birthday, mami!) but we’re going to celebrate it next week instead because she is in Cebu right now.
Back when we were young, the thing that we look forward to during Halloweens would be Noli de Castro’s “Magandang Gabi, Bayan” Halloween specials. Me and my brother, as well as our cousins who would sometimes sleep over at our house on the eve of All Saints Day, would be watching MGB together, and then scare ourselves to sleep hehe.
Last night, ABS-CBN aired MGB’s Halloween Special 2011 during “Sunday’s Best”. We weren’t able to watch it, though (thankfully!) but I heard it was one of the scariest episode ever! It’s about a haunted campus (yay!) that MGB aired way back in 2005.

Meantime, let me share with you this short prayer I found online, which we can dedicate for our dearly departed relatives and friends:
“Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
