Food Post: Early Bird Breakfast Club

03.27.2014 by Leah //

I’m not new to the Early Bird Breakfast Club.  We used to frequent this whole-day breakfast café at their maiden branch in The Fort, BGC.  Now that it has opened its second branch at the new Century City Mall in Makati, there’s no more need for us to travel all the way to Taguig.  The Century City Mall is just a 5-minutes drive from our home, so having a breakfast dinner here can now be an everyday routine!

And I’m not kidding when I say ‘everyday’, because this well-curated café is just my kind of nest.  With everything looking bright, clean and happy always – who wouldn’t want to go home to a place like this?

Oh, another thing I love about the Early Bird Breakfast Club at Century City Mall: it has the same colors as my blog.  A bright spot, indeed!

I love, love their chevron tiles!  And it goes pretty well with their cheery yellow dining rattan chairs.

This side of the wall is my favorite.  I feel like I’m looking straight into an indoor garden wall.

Even the ceiling is a lovely art in itself.

Instead of reading through a menu book, you get this ‘newsletter’ with the menu printed inside (and a puzzle printed at the back).  You can even bring it home.

Worth trying:  Tea Time for Two for only P395.00.

My favorite: Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Roasted Tomato Soup (P295.00).  Cheddar, mozzarella and Gruyere between slices of toasted bread with sweet and spicy onion relish served with roasted tomato soup on the side.

A must-try (and AJ’s newest favorite):  Sweet Glazed Katsino (P375.00).  A delightful hybrid of your favorite tocino and katsu!  Crispy boneless chicken coated in a sweet glaze over Breakfast Rice and topped with a sunny side up egg!

P1190363b

Vitamin C Smoothie (P165.00).  Mango, pineapple, banana and orange in one healthy drink!

Do you love potato fries?  If yes, then you should try the French Fries at Early Bird Breakfast Club.  For only P80.00, you get this serving of overflowing fries with a really nice salty taste, and a tomato salsa sauce as dipping instead of ketchup!

For dessert, we love their Choco Banana Berry French Toast (P295.00).  Thick french toast with generous fillings of Nutella, fresh bananas and blueberry jam.

There is never a dull moment for us here at the Early Bird Breakfast Club. We are always in love with its pretty and sunny ambiance; the all-day breakfast menu that ‘wakes up’ not just our sense of taste but also our sense of seeing – what with all those lovely food presentations; and there’s the warm and accommodating staff too.

I’ve not eaten there yet. May 2nd branch na pala sila. At first glance, the rattan chairs didn’t look like rattan to me, kala ko metal. Ganda! 🙂

I’ve never been to any of their branches… quite far from home and work kasi 🙂 But I’m already convinced that it’s a great place based on the few bloggers who reviewed it. I never encountered any negative review about the place. This is definitely in my list for 2014 🙂
