#vonbride by Von Lazaro

It’s been almost 2 years since I got married and I still continue to receive inquiries about my wedding gown.     Yes, my simple yet superstar wedding gown!

No heavy beads.  No heavy fabric. No lace.  No flowers.   I kept the design simple and yet it made lasting impression to our guests and my blog readers!   By doing away with all the drama, my gown was able to highlight the clean lines and perfect fit of the bodice and whimsical ruffles of the skirt.   I don’t think I could have achieved those if I didn’t get Carmen Lazaro + Von Lazaro to do my gown.  Their craftmanship is impeccable!   (If you are new into my blog and would like to know how I got them for my wedding, you can read the story here).

Here are the details of my gown, made of 100% jusilin in ivory color:

I sure am lucky to have found Von and to have worked with him and his mom to make my dream wedding gown come true.    I’ve kept in touch with him through Facebook and am amazed at how he has evolved in a span of just 2 years!   First of all, he has his own label now.  Secondly, his designs are more elaborate and because he’s young, he’s not afraid to experiment – mixing lace and silk fabrics, designing elaborate beaded lace designs, among others.

His design portfolio boasts of eye-popping lace works and multi-layered fabric gowns that can rival those of Veluz and Cecilio Abad.   Of course, that’s just my opinion but that’s how I see it.   Von has finally arrived!    Check him out at #vonbride.

Here are some of my favorites:

On bride Shielisse
On bride Shielisse.     The lace details are well-done and make a bold statement.
On bride Shane. I heart the layered fabric skirt!

On bride Kristine. A back details are both chic + fierce!

I am truly happy to see Von reach this far.   But then again, I see this as just a beginning of a long and successful career as a bridal designer.   So I am really proud and mega yabang to have been one of his “pioneer” brides hehe!

To all future brides out there, get your appointment with Von Lazaro now and see your dream gown come true!

    Hi Leah,

I would like to fet yout opinion from Von Lazaro’s designs. Is he requiring a minimum budget from the bride in making the dress? Or can he work on the bride’s budget? I saw his work and its really impressive! Thank you!

Hi Kryng! I think yes, he does. But he can definitely work on a bride’s budget, so I really suggest you set up a meeting with him so you can discuss your options =) Good luck!
