We love grilled cheese sandwich! I wish I could make this for our breakfast but if I will add up the cost of imported cheeses (you have to use at least 3 cheese varieties to come up with a perfect grilled cheese sandwich), big wholewheat or multi-grain loaf, and the spices that goes with it (to add flavor) – you’ll realize that it’s better off buying a ready-made one.
Our favorite is the one from Starbucks. It’s called Ultimate Grilled Cheese and costs P140.00. That’s already value for your money considering that it’s made up of multi-grain bread filled with herbed flavored spread, roasted garlic, gruyene cheese, emmenthal cheese, feta cheese, provolone cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and hungarian sausage.
Now this is what I call a deluxe breakfast:
Meet our newest breakfast buddy: a Bodum 4-cup French Press (or simply a Coffee Press) which we bought at Starbucks some weeks ago:
We opted for a coffee press instead of a coffee maker because we already have an electric kettle and don’t like another electric appliance that will just duplicate the function of the one we have right now. Plus, we love making our coffee with a coffee press because it captures more of the coffee’s flavour and retains its essential oils better than in a coffee maker (which is usually trapped in coffee filter papers). We can also use this in brewing ground tea leaves.
This Bodum French Press is priced at less than P1,000.00 and is available at all Starbucks coffee shops.
Have a great Saturday, everyone!
