You will find the best mexican burritos in town at Mexicali. Every time AJ and I crave for some heavy-duty burritos, we head to only one place: Mexicali.
My favorite: Grilled Chicken Burritos (P145.00), with beans, please!
It’s very filling, what with the generous serving of mexican rice they put in and of course, the chopped grilled chicken meat.
During our last visit (SM Megamall branch), AJ tried the Roast Pork Plate (P199.00) for the first time and we were slightly disappointed with the meat which, judging from its smell and texture, is no longer fresh. But since it did not taste funny at all, we no longer called the attention of the manager. AJ was also able to finish most of the serving, so I reckon he liked it as well.
We always order this Cheese and Garlic Quesadilla (P99.00) simply because every bite of it is good.
Oh, I just love the vibrant interiors of Mexicali! Bright orange, red and green! Very bold colors and yet, they played it so well here.
Other must-try’s at Mexicali: Sizzling Pork Chop (also AJ’s favorite) and the Taco Salad (also my favorite).
Other Mexicali Branches: The Link (fronting the Landmark in Makati), Alabang Town Center, Greenhills Shopping Center (inside the Promenade), Robinson’s Place Manila, SM Mall of Asia and SM (Trinoma and North EDSA Branches).
