Food Post: Kenny Roger’s Hainanese Chicken

08.11.2011 by Leah //

The first Hainanese Chicken meal I’ve tried was from Orchard Road (Megamall Branch).   I remember eating here for a few times when AJ and I were attending bridal fairs at the Megatrade Hall hehe.

Since we haven’t been to Megamall in a while, I got my cravings back for hainanese chicken when I saw this poster at Kenny Rogers, Rockwell Branch:

I just have to try it.   The serving size was big and I think Kenny Roger’s chicken better than Orchard Road’s because theirs was leaner.   The chicken’s flavor was distinctly hainanese but I’d be more happy if their chicken rice was sticky, with a congee-like texture.

I chose the wing part for my meal because that’s my favorite.  The chicken meat was flavorful and tender.

Kenny Roger’s Hainanese Chicken meal comes with a small bowl of soup and 3 kinds of sauce:  chili, ginger and hoisin.   I like the ginger sauce best.

I will definitely come back for this.  Kenny Roger’s Hainanese Chicken meal is not only good, but healthy.  And at less than P200.00 per order, it is very affordable.
