Loving Saizen!

06.09.2011 by Leah //

I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about Saizen, a Japanese franchise store that sells cheap, functional and cute items from Japan.  Everything there sells at P85.00.

Last Saturday I had my chance to finally see the store when AJ took me there while we were strolling at Robinson’s Galleria.

The store really looks inviting…

I don’t know how I did it, but I managed to take snapshots of some of the items I saw there.   Thankfully too, my cellphone camera (Sony Ericsson W995) cooperated that day and gave me clear pictures:

Pretty glass canisters with pink polka dots design for the cap cover.

These are banana plastic case holders.  Cute!

Ceramic figurines.  I almost bought one but thought that it won’t fit our "very conservative" living room hehe…

We regret not having bought these ice pop makers.

Craft punchers!   It’s a surprise to find plenty of them here.  Will definitely go back for these as they’ll make nice gifts for scrapbook hobbyists.

My eyes literally danced when I saw these candy-colored pens!

Cute ostrich pens!

Notebooks and drawing books in various designs and paper type.

Steel mesh pen stand in round or squarish shape.   These are definitely a good buy since a pen stand of exactly the same design sells at P300 and above at department stores and bookstores (especially if branded).

Another "hoard"-worthy item from Saizen:  colorful origami papers!   Perfect for any DIY project!

Space-saving, colorful dust bins (perfect for office or other small spaces)

That’s all.   These are actually just a preview of the many others you will find there.

We were able to buy kitchen items from here (not in picture because I wasn’t able to look properly at the kitchen section, it not being my "turf" but AJ’s hehe) and a clear case organizer for me.

Do visit Saizen, you won’t come out there empty-handed (a friendly warning for impulsive buyers like me).   If you love looking and buying stuff at Japan Home, this is definitely a mecca for you.

Saizen
is located at Robinson’s Galleria in Ortigas City.

i’m really glad that more and more stores that sells Japanese products are opening in Phils. I mean, I know, we should buy Filipino, pero kasi katuwa talaga details on a lot of Japanese products. Lalo na with those on the creative industry talagang maaaliw with the products they can find. Although I have always found the banana case absurd – kasi diba, minsan iba ang shape ng banana? hehe!

Hehe I couldn’t agree with you more. Japanese products pay attention to details eh and that’s what I like most about them. And they’re very functional talaga.
About the banana case, it is indeed absurd and may be more appropriate as a bridal shower gift hehehe!

[…] Just when I thought our lucky streak started and ended at Booksale (because we can’t seem to find nice sale items from the other stores we passed by), we discovered that a Saizen outlet has opened at Robinson’s Place!  Yipee!  And we used to travel to Robinson’s Galleria in Ortigas just for this happy place!
