Finally, Kate’s wedding dress is revealed! It was created by Alexander McQueen’s creative director, Sarah Burton. It resembled the late Grace Kelly’s wedding gown so much, I actually got goosebumps when I saw this pic.
I really thought Kate (now called the "Duchess of Cambridge") will wear something "modern" – devoid of lace, off-shoulder and with layers and layers of fabric for the skirt. I envisioned her in a gown similar to what Victoria Beckham wore on her wedding.
VIctoria Beckham’s ivory-colored gown was made by Vera Wang. Simply sophisticated!
Nonetheless, Kate was stunningly beautiful and "princess-y" in her "conservative" but elegant and classic wedding gown. I believe that this gown will now set the trend for lace-y and Victorian inspired gowns =)
As for Victoria, she was one of the privileged celebrities to have been invited to the wedding. She was in navy blue and wore a hat made by the haute couture hat-maker, Philip Treacy.
Twigs on a hat? If it’s Victoria Beckham wearing them, you call it fashionable!
Now back to cramming for the last leg of my own wedding’s preparations!
